Kevin started in the insurance business in 1972, working part time while in high school then full time upon his graduation from Xavier University in 1977. He is a licensed Property and Casualty as well as Life and Health agent at here at Desmond Insurance. Kevin and his wife Karen have two daughters and three granddaughters. They are avid boaters and enjoy spending a lot of time boating on the Ohio River.
Shannon started her full-time career at Desmond Insurance in 1992. She’s the first of the fourth generation of Desmond’s to join the agency. She takes great pride in the advancement of Desmond Insurance and looks forward to celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2029. Shannon resides in Fort Thomas with her husband; Brian, children; Brady, Meghan, Ellie and mini cavapoo; Murphy. She spends time away from the office keeping up with her children’s activities, volunteering with local non-profits and is known to enjoy a little down time on occasion.
Eric has been a member of the Desmond Insurance team since January of 2020. He is licensed in Property & Casualty as well as Life & Health Insurance. He enjoys working with his clients to efficiently and effectively protect their property, assets, health, income, and retirement savings. Outside of work Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 boys, watching any activities his sons are involved in, and occasionally playing guitar or bass with the bands/musicians he has played with in the past. He is also enjoys playing pickle ball and is continually working on improving his golf game, but we’re not sure there is really any hope of success there.
Erica Huff is an Account Manager with Desmond Insurance and has been a part of the team since March. She has 10 years’ experience in Property & Casualty insurance, and she started at a large insurance corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio. She serviced a wide range of clients (big and small) from pizzerias, restaurants, apartment complexes, contractors to industrial supply companies. Outside of work, Erica enjoys watching her children participate in multiple sports all year round, boating, Kentucky basketball, beach vacations and spending time with friends and family.
Mary Kay is the Financial Manager with us at Desmond Insurance, and she has been handling the accounting for over 30 years. Prior to coming to Desmond Insurance, she worked in banking for 18 years in various positions such as a proof operator, teller, customer service rep and assistant branch manager. While not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters, and friends. She also enjoys card and board games, travel with friends and reading.
In 2021 Karen became a full-time employee of Desmond Insurance. Before that, she became a full-time dance instructor after graduating from NKU in 1993. She continued teaching dance until 2021 when she retired. She began working for Desmond Insurance in 2011 as receptionist and has administrative duties on a part time basis. When Karen is not working, she enjoys spending time with family & friends as well as boating on the Ohio River.
Lois has been one of our licensed Property and Casualty insurance agents since October 2020. She brings over 20 years of experience in the business and insurance industry. As an agent, Lois works closely with our clients to make sure their personal or business insurance needs are taken care of with her vast expertise. In her free time Lois loves to spend time traveling with her husband and spending time with family.
